Our Journey Begins....

​However, a person doesn't just arrive at Marco Island, board a vessel and head out to the sea.  The planning, organizing, packing and travel in preparation for the voyage is an adventure in itself.

This is our second family trip to Marco Island.  It's one of many trips for Gord who worked endlessly getting things prepared for this adventure.  We took possession of Holy Cow in December 2021 and surprised the kids with a trip to Florida over Christmas break.  We rented a U-Haul - filled it full of our boat belongings in Ontario and headed down to spend the Christmas Break on Holy Cow.  This is where the preparations for our journey taking her home started.  We couldn't have done it without the help and support of our family and friends.  For that, we will be forever grateful.  Our Christmas break was an amazing.  Even Covid didn't curb the fabulous time we had.  Our Florida trip kicked off our excitement (and our nerves) with anticipation of the trip of a lifetime we had in front of us.

That leads us to now.  Our second family trip to Florida to board Holy Cow, this time with dogs in tow, charts in hand, countless navigation sites bookmarked, butterflies in our tummies and smiles on our faces we will untie from the dock and set sail.  Start your engines .... we are thrilled you are following along.
